I am getting an error in my phone book *** dialer program...

RGB and HAL Device -- -
This is an odd one
My game in VB I always, ALWAYS used the HAL device.
Now, in C++ I just noticed, that it was error'ing on the HAL device so it was creating the RGB device.....
Why???? Is it possible that vb can support HAL on my card and C++ cannot...I highly doubt it.

BitBlt vs SetDIBitsToDevice -
To copy bytes from an array to a device, it seems I have to use SetDIBitsToDevice. And from one device to another BitBlt.
Now if the device has AutoRefresh disabled BitBlt is about 10 times faster than SetDIBitsToDevice.

CD itself is okay. No problems in device manager.
Cables are okay. CD-ROM spins up the CD when its put in first.
As soon as I click on the CD-ROM to go into it it just gives that error.
So there is something afoot methinks...
MSCOMM Control - Weird Problem -
On my old P200(MMX) win95 box, I am trying to write a custom interface between a VB6 app and a device connected by the serial port.
The obvious choice is the MSCOMM control.
Weird thing is that I cannot seem to open or close Com1 port. Whenever i run

It doesn't show up in Device Mgr. under USB Controllers, it shows up as a seperate device under Computer. Listed as Data Acquisition Device.

One would open the device and pass information. IT will wait for the input buffer. The second one will also wait for other information to pass from it.
