searching across multiple public folders in outlook -

I'm using outlook 98

I would like to be able to search multiple public folders at once in outlook 98, and I think the only way would be to write a vb program.

I'm not to experienced with vb and I have know experience with vb-outlook programming, can someone tell me how to do this? The names of public folders can be hard-coded in (its always the same 4 folders that are being searched)

maybe if someone has an example they can send it to me?
