Monitor display failure. -

Hi Guys

I'm having a problem with my computer where i cant see any display on the monitor when i turn the computer on. I have tried to re-sit both the Graphics card and RAM on the motherboard with no luck. I've also tried the graphics card and RAM on another machine and they're all working fine.
I got this computer as second hand, recently i've looked at the processor and it seems to have about 2 pins that were broken and soldered back and they seem a bit shorter than the others, could this be an issue. When i turn the computer it seems to run properly but just that there's no visual display.
The only conclusion i can make is that probably the motherboard is faulty but i don't wanna commit to buying another motherboard and not manage to eliminate the problem.
Does anyone have any suggestions please?
