Operating excel from Sqlserver storedprocedure -

Hi ...Please help me regarding this problem.
I am inserting rows to Excel 8.0 from a sql server database using Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0 database engine.I have written in a stored procedure in sql server 2000 database. The process is packaged in a dts package.
Now we are moving the database to sql server 2005 .But now though the dts package runs successfully I am not getting the excel sheets that should be generated and archived in a specified place.
please suggest me do I need to install MS excel in the server???
